Ganbare! Kickers is a soccer manga and anime and romance created by Noriaki Nagai. It was published by Shogakukan in CoroCoro Comic magazine from 1985 to 1989. The series won the 1987 Shogakukan Award as the best children's manga. The anime was produced by Studio Pierrot and aired between 1986 and 1987.
Kitahara The child is the worst football team in town. They lost twenty games in a row and no hope of improvement, but the hope is reborn when Shou Ouji, a talented boy who just moved into the neighborhood, improving the condition of equipment. Shou captain faces the best team in the city, the goalkeeper Lenny, which will rival the resulting matches. But Shou is true love with the sister of Lenny to increase the tension football. And to top it off goalkeeper Rudy falls for the sister of Shou, creating a comic series of romance and football. A good combination to enjoy at the expense of interesting situations these characters.
