Urusei Yatsura (うる 星 や つら, Alien annoying) is a comedy manga series written and illustrated by Rumiko Takahashi (Ranma ½, Inuyasha) which debuted in Weekly Shonen Sunday weekly magazine in 1978 until its completion in 1987. Despite the initial success, its circulation was very sporadic until they gave him weekly in September 1979. Its 314 chapters individaul were compiled into 34 volumes tankōbon.

The series has received numerous accolades from critics and fans both inside and outside Japan and has had a cultural impact making its main character, Lum, an icon of the manga and anime.

An alien race known as Oni decided to invade Earth if given a chance to compete if humans do not want to be slaves. The man chosen for the competition is a Japanese high school character named Ataru Moroboshi womanizer, you must touch the horns of the beautiful princess Lum, daughter of the chief of Oni, but it will be difficult because she knows how to fly. But Ataru gets by removing the bikini top to protect the girl and touching her integrity and horns. By winning Ataru, this screams of joy knowing that it's going to marry his then girlfriend Lamu Shinobu but misunderstands, thinking he was going to marry her and ends up falling in love with the young, and just staying at home.

From now Ataru extrañísimos experience bizarre encounters with people and his rival Shuutaro Mendo or Lamu fan club, aliens as little cousin Lum, Jarit, and creatures based on Japanese folklore as the cat round table, like a spectacular chase women like Sakura or priestess alien Lum friends even if you get the power and jealous fury of the girl. The story takes place in the fictional neighborhood Tomobiki, located in the town of Nerima in Tokyo. This has 2 institutes (and rival Tomobiki Butsumetsu) and 3 commuter rail stations. Also adjacent to the fictional neighborhood Furinkan (think of a story where Takahashi, Ranma 1 / 2).
